blog post #2

part 1:
The things that make me happy are being with the people I love, and just having a really great time doing something fun even if its with friends. The times that i'm the happiest are probably when
I go out and meet new people at the parties and just have a really good time with the family and friends. I also love art, drawing and painting! I think that a national happiness index is a good idea only if the government is going to do something with it, like actually help the citizens to be happy because if they just do the questionnaire and not do anything about it in my opinion it would just be a big waste of paper and time so it would be pointless. In my opinion, the best way to measure a nation's happiness is probably to do an online survey, but as i said before ONLY if the government is going to do something about it.

part 2: To my understanding, the story "I've been called a luddite" implies that all of this technology around us it really unnecessary, because we can mostly do everything we do already without technology! like send a message or chat with friends, of course it would take longer though. I kinda don't agree with the story because of course we can do all of this things without technology, but in my opinion technology was made to make people's everyday lives easier right? and i wouldn't be able to live without music, communications with friends etc. because it has turn to be an adaption to a lot of us, this is what we grew with and this is our way of living.

part 3:

  1. Great post. I completely agree with your comment, "I think that a national happiness index is a good idea only if the government is going to do something with it, like actually help the citizens to be happy because if they just do the questionnaire and not do anything about it in my opinion it would just be a big waste of paper and time so it would be pointless." If you were a leader of a nation, how would you use the information you found from the surveys?
